DSF Provides Cow Support to Help a Visually Impaired Farmer Rebuild His Livelihood
For a farmer who depends on physical labor to support his family, losing the ability to work can be devastating. A farmer from Atowari, Panchagarh, faced such a difficult situation after losing his eyesight, leaving him unable to continue his regular work and causing severe financial hardship for his family.
Recognizing the family's need for sustainable livelihood support, the Do Something Foundation (DSF) came forward to help them rebuild their source of income.
Under Income Generation Project #1268 (Cow No. 74), DSF provided the family with one cow. The cow will serve as a valuable income-generating asset, enabling the family to benefit from livestock rearing and work towards greater financial stability.
As the beneficiary is visually impaired and unable to perform many forms of physical labor, his family members can take responsibility for caring for the cow. This support is expected to create a sustainable opportunity and help the family move toward self-reliance.
