Cataracts are one of the common causes of vision impairment, particularly among older people. For families living with financial hardship, the cost of eye examinations, surgery, medicines, and follow-up care can make treatment difficult to access.
Today, September 19, 2026, a total of 18 patients underwent cataract surgery successfully as part of an eye-care initiative of the Do Something Foundation (DSF).
For many patients, cataract surgery can bring significant improvement in vision and make everyday activities easier and safer. Restoring vision can also help people become more independent in their daily lives.
The successful completion of these 18 surgeries represents another step toward making essential eye care more accessible to people who may otherwise struggle to afford treatment.
