Two Goats to Help a Mother Build a Path Towards Self-Reliance
For families living in financial hardship, access to a sustainable source of income can make a meaningful difference. Small livelihood opportunities can help vulnerable individuals gradually improve their financial condition and build a more secure future.
With this goal in mind, the Do Something Foundation (DSF) has provided two goats to a mother in need as part of its livelihood support programme.
The goats are expected to become a valuable source of livelihood for her and her family. Through proper care and rearing, they can provide opportunities for breeding and future income generation, helping her move towards greater financial independence.
Rather than providing only short-term assistance, livelihood initiatives such as goat distribution aim to create sustainable opportunities for vulnerable families. DSF believes that empowering individuals with income-generating resources can help them regain confidence, dignity, and the ability to support themselves.
