Children with congenital disabilities may face significant challenges with mobility and everyday activities. Without appropriate mobility equipment, even simple movements can require considerable assistance from family members.
To help ease these challenges, the Do Something Foundation (DSF) has provided a wheelchair to a child who has been living with a disability since birth.
The wheelchair will provide the child with greater mobility and make it easier to move around both at home and outside. It will also help reduce the physical burden on family members who assist the child with daily movement.
For a child with a disability, appropriate mobility support can contribute significantly to comfort, participation, and dignity. A wheelchair is not simply a mobility device; it can provide an opportunity to move with greater freedom and take part in everyday family and community activities.
Through its Disability Support Programme, DSF continues to provide wheelchairs and other essential assistance to children and individuals with disabilities based on their mobility needs.
This initiative reflects DSF’s commitment to supporting vulnerable children and helping families access practical assistance that can improve their everyday lives.
