A Fisherman's Struggle for Safe Shelter
Jamal Howladar earns his livelihood as a fisherman. With his limited income, providing for his wife and two children has been a constant challenge. The family had been living in a broken and deteriorating house that offered inadequate living conditions.
For a family with young children, a safe home is essential for security, comfort, and wellbeing. However, Jamal's financial circumstances made it difficult for him to build a suitable home for his loved ones.
DSF Builds a New Home for the Family
Understanding the family's hardship, Do Something Foundation (DSF) took the initiative to construct a new home for Jamal Howladar, his wife, and their two children.
This housing support aims to provide the family with a safer living environment and relief from the difficulties of living in a damaged house. The new home represents an important step towards greater stability and security for the family.
Building Homes and Restoring Hope
Safe housing is a basic human need, yet many low-income families continue to live in unsafe and inadequate conditions because of financial hardship.
Through its Housing & Shelter initiatives, DSF works to support vulnerable families by helping them access safer living conditions. The new home built for Jamal Howladar and his family reflects the foundation's commitment to standing beside people in need and helping them live with greater dignity.
