After five years of hardship and uncertainty, thousands of people from four villages can finally cross safely. Today, the second bridge constructed with the funding of the Do Something Foundation (DSF) was officially opened for public use, bringing relief to local communities and ensuring a safer journey for hundreds of schoolchildren.
For the past five years, thousands of people from four villages had been forced to cross a dangerous and fragile bamboo bridge as part of their daily lives.
The unsafe crossing was not only a challenge for local residents but also a serious concern for schoolchildren. More than a hundred students from the nearby primary school depended on this route.
The situation was particularly worrying for pre-primary children. Many parents were afraid to send their young children to school because of the dangerous bamboo bridge and the risk involved in crossing it.
Today, that long-standing fear and hardship have finally come to an end.
On 10 September 2026, the second bridge constructed with the funding of the Do Something Foundation (DSF) was officially opened for public use.
The newly constructed bridge will provide a safer, more reliable, and dignified means of communication for thousands of people living in the four surrounding villages. It will also make it easier and safer for children to travel to school.
