Response time
One moment, a family is eating dinner together. The next, their home is underwater. In Bangladesh, floods, cyclones and fires can destroy a lifetime of work in a single night. When disaster strikes, our Emergency Relief teams are among the first on the ground — because we believe that in the darkest hours, no one should face the darkness alone.
The first 48 hours after a disaster determine how much dignity a family keeps. Our local volunteers know their communities — they know which houses are lowest, which families are most vulnerable, and where help is needed first. This local knowledge means aid reaches people faster and with greater care.

Emergency relief is just the beginning. We stay with communities through the long recovery — helping rebuild homes, restore livelihoods and regain the confidence that disaster takes away. Because true relief doesn't end when the floodwaters recede.
“When we lost everything in the flood, they were the first to arrive. They didn't just bring food — they brought back our hope.”
