Approach
Mosques, madrasas and community centres are where communities gather, learn, worship and find comfort. When these institutions struggle, the whole community feels it — especially the poorest. Our Religious & Community Institution Support program strengthens these pillars with facilities, resources and essential assistance.
In many villages, the mosque is the community hall, the school and the shelter — all at once. The madrasa teaches children who have no other classroom. The community centre hosts the gatherings where help is organised. Supporting these institutions multiplies far beyond a single building: it supports everyone they serve.

By working through the institutions communities already trust, we reach people who might never approach an NGO for help — often the very people who need it most. A supported mosque becomes a distribution point in a flood; a supported madrasa becomes a safe classroom after a storm.
“The madrasa roof leaked for years. Now the children study through the monsoon — and the whole community helped fix it together.”
