The Do Something Foundation (DSF) has provided a new rickshaw to Hossain Mia, a father of four daughters, whose only source of income had become unusable due to mechanical problems and a damaged battery.
DSF Provides a New Rickshaw to Restore Hossain Mia’s Source of Income
For Hossain Mia, a rickshaw was more than just a vehicle—it was the only source of income for his family. As the father of four daughters, he depended entirely on his rickshaw to earn a living and provide for his family.
However, his old rickshaw had become badly damaged, and its battery was no longer functioning properly. As a result, Hossain Mia faced increasing difficulties in continuing his work and earning enough to support his family.
Understanding his difficult situation, the Do Something Foundation (DSF) stepped forward to provide him with a new rickshaw.
The new rickshaw will enable Hossain Mia to resume his work and create a more reliable source of income for himself and his family. This support is expected to reduce the financial hardship faced by the family and help him work towards a more stable and secure future.
Livelihood assistance plays an important role in helping vulnerable families become financially independent. Rather than providing only temporary support, sustainable income-generating opportunities can empower individuals to support themselves with dignity.
