When women become self-reliant, families and communities become stronger.
Do Something Foundation (DSF) believes that empowering women is essential to building stronger and more self-reliant communities.
Mrs. Chitra Rani is skilled in sewing and tailoring. However, working with a foot-operated sewing machine limited her ability to complete larger orders efficiently. To expand her work and improve her earning opportunities, she requested an electric sewing machine.
Responding to her need, DSF provided her with an electric sewing machine under IG Project #1248. This support will help her increase productivity, take on more orders, and work towards greater financial independence.
