Just before Eid, tragedy struck Kohinur, a small shop owner, when his entire shop was destroyed by a devastating fire caused by lightning. Within a short time, the shop he depended on for his livelihood was reduced to ashes. The loss was especially heartbreaking as Eid was approaching, leaving him and his family facing an uncertain future.
For a small business owner, a shop is more than just a place of business—it is the primary source of income and the foundation of a family’s daily survival. Losing everything in the fire meant Kohinur had to start again from nothing.
Responding to his situation, Do Something Foundation (DSF) came forward to help restore his livelihood. The damaged shop has been rebuilt with new tin, allowing Kohinur to reopen his business. To help him restart properly, DSF also provided a new refrigerator and essential shop goods.
Today, Kohinur’s shop is once again open and ready for business. This support has given him an opportunity to rebuild his income, support his family, and move forward with renewed hope.
