DSF Provides an Artificial Leg to Help Road Accident Survivor Shamim Rebuild His Life

After losing one leg in a devastating road accident and subsequently losing his job, Shamim and his family faced severe financial hardship. Do Something Foundation (DSF) has provided him with an artificial leg to help restore his mobility and independence, with plans to arrange livelihood support in the near future.

Restoring Mobility and Hope: DSF Supports Shamim with an Artificial Leg

Shamim was the eldest son of his family and had taken responsibility for supporting the household through his job at a pharmaceutical company. His income brought much-needed relief to his family, particularly as his father was suffering from kidney-related health problems.

However, the family's situation changed dramatically following a serious road accident during Shamim's leave period. The accident resulted in the loss of one of his legs.

Following the accident, Shamim faced another devastating challenge. Due to his disability, he eventually lost his job. As a result, the family's financial condition became increasingly difficult. With his father's ongoing illness and Shamim's inability to continue his previous employment, the family found itself facing severe economic hardship.

Recognizing Shamim's urgent need for mobility and independence, Do Something Foundation (DSF) stepped forward to provide him with an artificial leg.

The artificial limb will help Shamim regain greater mobility and confidence, allowing him to take important steps toward rebuilding his life.

However, mobility alone is not enough to ensure the long-term well-being of Shamim and his family. Sustainable employment is also essential for restoring their financial stability. Therefore, DSF plans to arrange livelihood and employment support for Shamim in the near future, helping him move toward a more secure and independent future.

Through this support, Do Something Foundation remains committed to standing beside vulnerable individuals and families during difficult times—providing not only immediate assistance but also creating opportunities for long-term independence and dignity.
