The Do Something Foundation (DSF) has provided BDT 50,000 in emergency medical assistance to help a young child receive urgent surgery after suffering a serious fracture to the left arm.
Timely Medical Support Brings Hope for a Child in Need of Urgent Surgery
A child should be spending their days playing, learning, and growing up safely. However, for one little child, a simple moment of play suddenly turned into a painful medical emergency.
While playing, the child suffered a serious injury to the left arm. Medical examination confirmed a Supracondylar Fracture of the Left Humerus, a condition requiring urgent medical attention and surgery.
The child's family was already facing severe financial hardship. The father had remarried elsewhere and no longer maintains contact or provides support for the child. With limited financial resources, the family was unable to arrange the money needed for the urgent operation.
As a result, the child's necessary treatment was delayed due to a lack of funds.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Do Something Foundation (DSF) stepped forward and provided BDT 50,000 in medical assistance to support the child's treatment.
With this financial assistance, the family is now able to proceed with the next stage of treatment. The child is expected to be admitted to the hospital in the evening so that the necessary operation can be carried out.
Timely medical assistance can make a life-changing difference, particularly when a child's treatment cannot wait. DSF hopes that this support will help ensure the child receives the required medical care and can recover soon.
Through its healthcare and medical support programmes, the Do Something Foundation continues to stand beside vulnerable individuals and families during times of urgent need.
